Best Deals in Kona - Day 4 Keauhou Magic's Beach Manta Ray
Start your day at one of the many local Farmer's Markets. Saturday is a great day to hit up the Keauhou Farmer's Market where you can find almost anything you need for the day. Grab a coffee, find a pastry, and then see what yummy produce is available for lunch. What you don't find you can get at KTA when you are finished.
Now that you have food, head to Magic's Beach (La'aloa). This is a busy but fun beach. You can see kids running into the shorebreak on boggie boards to get a little spin. Do not turn your back on these waves as there is an extreme shorebreak. If you visit in the winter you will likely learn why they call it Magic's Beach.
It is a personal opinion that no visit to Kona is complete without a Manta Ray Night Snorkel. At the time of this writing there is a Groupon for a drastically discounted trip. Regardless of how you sign up, go see the manta rays. Be sure to ask your guide to tell you the name of the animals you see as each Ray has distinct markings.
As always, if you want a great place to stay, there are affordable options at Guard Well Farm. Check out the calendar for the Tiny Home and Coffee Stay to see availability and contact us for direct booking rates.
