Best Deals in Kona - Day 3

One of the best parts of Hawaii is it's history. Day three must include a trip to Pu'uhonua o Honaunau National Historical Park. Commonly  refered to as Place of Refuge it was a sanctuary for those who were accused of committing Kapu, a death sentence. Plan to hike the 1871 Trail after visiting the historical site. The views from the hike are breathtaking.

Plan to pack a lunch and snorkel Honaunau, Two Step, to check out the fish who love swimming in the coral. It is one of the more popular snorkeling spots on the west side of the island so be prepared for busy.

After a long day exploring, a fun place to catch a bite on the way home is Manny's in Captain Cook. They are open for dinner until 8pm most nights.
